We are looking for a skilled Soldering Technician to assist with the assembly, repair, and modification of various electronic parts and systems. The perfect applicant will possess a background in precise soldering techniques, handling PCB assemblies, and reading technical schematics. This position demands exceptional focus, refined manual dexterity, and a dedication to high-quality output.
Core Duties- Execute manual soldering and rework tasks for electronic parts, covering both through-hole and surface mount (SMT) components.
- Build and adjust printed circuit boards (PCBs) and cable systems to meet exact project requirements.
- Analyze engineering diagrams, schematics, and assembly guides to ensure all builds are completed accurately.
- Verify the integrity of solder connections and finished units to help maintain high quality and adherence to IPC standards.
- Diagnose and fix faulty components or assemblies to improve overall production efficiency.
- Keep all soldering gear, hand tools, and workstations organized and in good working order.
- Complete essential tasks such as wire stripping, tinning, cable routing, and component positioning.
- Perform continuity tests and basic functional evaluations using the necessary testing tools.
- Record completed tasks and keep precise production logs to ensure operational transparency.
- Work alongside engineering and production staff to help the team reach project deadlines and quality goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Practical experience utilizing various soldering methods, with a preference for through-hole and SMT work.
- Knowledge of IPC standards, specifically IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
- Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical schematics.
- Excellent manual coordination and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality results.
- Experience operating inspection tools, microscopes, and various hand tools.
- Fundamental problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Capacity to function effectively both independently and within a team in a dynamic setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with technical certifications viewed as an advantage.
