Job Description
We are seeking a Podiatry Nurse Practitioner to become a part of our team! You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team.

- Assess patient foot health by interviewing patients; performing physical foot examinations; and obtaining, updating, and reviewing medical histories.
- Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses.
- Determine abnormal foot conditions by administering or ordering diagnostic tests such as x‑rays and laboratory studies.
- Interpret test results of diagnostic tests.
- Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments.
- Perform therapeutic foot procedures by suturing, and managing wounds and infections.
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as warranted.
- Communicate with referring provider or specialist regarding patient care.
- Counsel patients and caregivers by describing therapeutic regimens and promoting foot wellness and foot health maintenance.
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient records and employee/co‑worker information.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned.
- No overnight calls.
- Home visits: 100% travel.
- Office visits:
No travel required. - Combination: 3 days office, 2 days home visits.
- COVID‑19 vaccination is required as we will be working with vulnerable populations.
- MSN required; evidence of completion of an NP program and Massachusetts State licensure required.
- Language skills:
Proficient in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, medical history notes, and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively before groups of customers or employees. - Experience in podiatry, wounds, and/or care of the older adult desired.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously with frequent interruptions.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel programs required.
- Proficiency in using general office equipment and procedure knowledge required.
- Ability to build rapport with patients from all socioeconomic status.
- Ability to thrive in providing care in patient’s home without judgment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 2 weeks PTO @ 0–2 year; 3 weeks PTO 2.1–5 years; 4 weeks PTO 5+ years.
- 5 sick days/year.
- 2 personal days/year.
