Salary Range: $125,000 - $130,000 annually (DOE)
Position Overview
The Advanced Practice Provider will evaluate and manage adult rheumatology patients both independently and under physician supervision. The provider will gradually assume responsibility for patient care based on experience, training, and demonstrated clinical confidence.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work alongside an experienced Rheumatologist and an established Nurse Practitioner while building expertise in the diagnosis and management of rheumatologic disorders.
Experienced NPs and PAs are highly encouraged to apply. Strong new graduates with relevant clinical training, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and manage adult patients referred for rheumatologic conditions.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans under established clinical protocols.
- Order, interpret, and review laboratory and diagnostic studies.
Required
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active Massachusetts NP or PA license (or ability to obtain), DEA Registration, Massachusetts CSR.
Preferred
- Prior Rheumatology experience
- Experience in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Orthopedics, Pain Management, or related specialties
- Interest in developing long-term expertise in Rheumatology
