About This Role

The Registered Nurse in the Dissociative Disorders/Trauma Unit at Mass General Brigham is responsible for providing immediate and long-term nursing care to patients, utilizing the nursing process within established standards. This role is ideal for nurses who are skilled in crisis intervention and patient assessment.

• Accurately assess patients’ needs.
• Utilize multiple data sources to determine health problems and functional status.
• Perform point of care testing.
• Communicate findings effectively to the healthcare team.
• Document patient responses to interventions.
• Identify and de-escalate crisis situations.
• Plan and modify nursing interventions for assigned patients.
• Establish therapeutic alliances with patients.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Participate in the training and education of RNs and other healthcare providers.

• Other Certificate/Diploma in Nursing required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

• No experience required; 1 year medical/psychiatric experience preferred

• Current RN License in Massachusetts required
• MR safety certification required
