Position: RN Med/Surg-Tele- Moran 3

Position Overview

Moran 3 is a 20 bed, ICU step‑down unit, providing intermediate care that specializes primarily in pulmonary care and chronic pulmonary diseases. We also have a fast‑paced 10 bed observation unit that specializes in cardiac and neurological rule‑out patients. We care for patients with multiple comorbidities including DKA, vented/chronic trach patients, a‑fib, COPD and stroke patients. The unit is a very tight‑knit group, focusing primarily on teamwork to care for our patient population.

Hours

& Shift

36 hours per week. Evening/Night shift, 7:15 pm – 7:15 am with weekend and holiday rotation.

Location

Charlton Memorial Hospital – Fall River, MA

Responsibilities
  • Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or the designee of the assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients.
  • Participate in patient and family teaching.
  • Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within the assigned patient care unit.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
  • Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Experience is preferred.
  • Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and the COVID‑19 virus or be exempt for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying the exemption once hired.

Compensation

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
