Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit Pay: $36–$51/hour, based on experience
The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a reputed regional hospital in Wausau, WI and we are looking to hire Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
This is an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to build advanced clinical skills, gain ICU-adjacent experience, and grow beyond traditional med-surg care.
Schedule:
Full-Time | 12-hour shifts | Days | Nights
- Provide care for high-acuity, complex patients
- Gain experience with neuro, trauma, post-surgical, and complex medical cases
- Receive strong training and onboarding support (great for the newer RNs)
- Build advanced clinical skills and prepare for critical care or specialty roles
- Opportunities for professional growth and leadership
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to complex patients
- Collaborate with CNAs and interdisciplinary care teams
- Develop clinical expertise across multiple specialties
- Monitor and respond to changing patient needs in a high-acuity setting
- Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact-eligible
- BLS certification
- Experienced RNs and New Graduates welcome to apply
