Position Details
Role:
Experienced Veterinary Technician
Status:
Full-time
Salary: $20 - $25+ per hour, depending on experience/skills
Schedule:
Full-time schedule with predictable hours and regular lunch breaks

- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
- Provide exceptional nursing care from patient admission through discharge
- Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostics
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures
- Obtain diagnostic radiographs and maintain accurate medical records
- Anticipate the needs of doctors and teammates to promote an efficient workflow
- Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with the entire hospital team to deliver exceptional patient care
- Previous veterinary technician experience (minimum 1 year)
- Strong technical and patient nursing skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Ability to anticipate patient and team needs while maintaining an organized workflow
- Positive attitude and willingness to ask for help and support teammates
- Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
