As a Shortage Control Associate (SCA), your role directly impacts the store's security and the overall shopping experience for customers. By exhibiting command presence, knowledge of theft trends, and a positive impression of control, you will reduce opportunities for theft and create a safe and enjoyable shopping environment.

• Monitor the entrances and exits during the entire shift, focusing on reducing theft opportunities.
• Greet every customer with a warm smile, a loud, friendly greeting, and maintain a professional appearance.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious subjects to the Manager on Duty.
• Participate in store rallies to communicate theft prevention information.
• Conduct bag and package checks on associates to ensure adherence to safety and security standards.
• Provide support and training to associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Role‑model safety as a top priority and address unsafe practices promptly.

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations (preferred).
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and visually monitor the store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to review, analyze, and comprehend business trends.
• Positive demeanor, strong posture, and energetic greeting.
• Works in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment with discipline and focus.
• Excellent communication with customers and co‑workers.
• Leadership skills that foster productive business relationships.
