Position SummaryLeads day‑to‑day operations of a single store to achieve sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, inventory control, brand representation, and team growth. The Store Manager champions a People First environment that promotes diversity and inclusion, builds long‑term customer relationships, and delivers an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities- Achieve sales projections and quotas set by the company.
- Develop and execute strategies to maximize personal and team sales performance.
- Coach and develop store staff in customer service, product knowledge, inventory control, visual merchandising, and operational excellence.
- Maintain brand standards in customer interactions, store visuals, and merchandising.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, including safety, discounting, and inventory accuracy.
- Monitor operational reports to identify trends, opportunities, and root causes of problems; implement corrective actions and best practices.
- Foster cross‑store collaboration with nearby Signet store managers to share resources and improve results.
- Schedule and coordinate store coverage, ensuring sufficient staffing for opening, closing, and customer‑service needs.
- Maintain accurate employee data in system records and support total rewards eligibility.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer issues, providing timely resolution and follow‑up.
- Support corporate initiatives and execute corporate plans to achieve desired results.
- Minimum of 2 years of college education preferred.
- At least 3 years of retail sales experience, or 2 years of retail sales plus a minimum of 1 year of retail management experience.
- Preference for candidates with specialty retail or jewelry experience; DCA certification is an advantage.
- Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem‑solving, and conflict‑management skills.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and delegate effectively.
- Reliable, dependable, and able to present oneself professionally in all communications.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Requires regular standing, reaching, and movement between display cases, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds. Requires visual acuity for gemstone quality assessment and may involve weekend, evening, holiday, and extended hours. May require travel for training and business meetings.
CompensationBase pay $50,000 – $84,700 plus commission on sales; final rate determined by experience and qualifications.
