Sales Associate - Customer Service Representative

Overview

Join our Customer Service Team as a Sales Associate in Woburn, MA. This role is ideal for an outgoing, people‑person who is forward‑thinking and eager to help customers with battery and power solutions.

Monday‑Friday 8:00 AM‑6:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM‑6:00 PM, Sunday 10:00 AM‑5:00 PM. Full‑time position available.

Provide customers with total solutions for batteries, bulbs, and related services while maintaining courteous, professional, and helpful customer interactions.

• Greet customers, determine needs, and answer questions
• Suggest and sell add‑on items; participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales and profit goals
• Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers
• Operate computer/cash register to complete sales transactions with accuracy
• Answer phones and ensure messages are relayed
• Watch for loss prevention issues and advise management of any unusual activities
• Demonstrate a customer‑first mentality

• Install batteries, perform tests, and conduct technical work
• Rebuild cordless drill batteries and other battery packs as needed
• Repair cell phones, tablets, light fixtures, and other devices as needed
• Replace screens, batteries, and other components on smartphones and tablets
• Cut keys and reprogram key fob remotes

• Assist in all store operations responsibilities as assigned by Store Manager or Assistant Manager
• Rotate and stock inventory
• Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of product to customers or via third‑party delivery companies
• Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance
• Maintain retail shelf label pricing
• Build displays; set up and take down shelves and fixtures
• Prepare store for opening and closing, including counting and reconciling register drawers
• Maintain physical facility safety and appearance—including mowing lawn, removing snow, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming floors, and maintaining restroom cleanliness
• Follow all safety rules and regulations; wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

• High school diploma or equivalent; 6 months prior work experience preferred
• Technical aptitude and ability to work with small parts and tools
• Ability to make minor decisions and use some judgment within standardized procedures
• Good listening and verbal communication skills with a customer focus; general knowledge of customer service policies and procedures
• Organizational and analytical problem‑solving skills
• Ability to calculate simple math, percentages, ratios, algebraic expressions, and read gauges

• Regularly stand, walk, and use hands to handle or touch; frequently talk, hear, and lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach above shoulders, and lift more than 50 pounds
• Regular use of electrical cables, simple hand tools, magnifying glass, automotive and electronic testing equipment, and regular use of a phone, fax, computer, and printer/copier
• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outdoor weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock
• Moderate noise level in the working environment
• Protective clothing and/or equipment used includes goggles, gloves, and steel‑toed shoes
