Position Summary
Car Wash associate will assist the Car Wash Leader/Manager to ensure daily operations run efficiently, maintaining high standards of appearance and cleanliness of the car wash property. You will be cross‑trained in all areas of the Car Wash, gaining valuable operations experience. This position is part of Cumberland Farms, which operates nearly 1500 locations across the United States.

- Maintain overall appearance and cleanliness of the car wash by cleaning the facility, equipment room, exterior grounds and vacuum area, and ensuring everything is organized.
- Ensure all equipment (payment stations, wash equipment, power washer, vacuums) are operational; resolve issues or submit a Service Channel ticket if necessary.
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and provide assistance with the car wash process or at the vacuums.
- Handle customer complaints, employee conflicts, and daily operational problems in an even‑tempered, fair, and consistent manner.
- Work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment.
- Use equipment appropriately to work efficiently in an automated facility.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while performing assigned tasks.
- Cross‑train in the retail store to greet and serve guests, operate registers, stock shelves, clean store areas, and assist the Store Manager as needed.
Store Manager, Car Wash Leader, Car Wash Manager, Car Wash Program Manager, District Manager, Store team members, Company personnel, and various vendors.
RequirementsMinimum Education: N/A
Preferred Education: High School or GED
Minimum Experience: 3 months as a Guest Service Associate with Cumberland Farms or prior car wash experience
Preferred Experience: 6‑12 months in car wash, retail, guest service, or restaurant
Licenses/Certifications: N/A
Soft Skills- Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members
- High energy
- Ability to work independently
- Team‑oriented; willing to give extra effort to help others
Full time or part‑time; working a variety of day and night hours, including weekends and holidays. Travel 5% of time to cover other locations as needed. Full time (30‑40 hours) and part‑time (up to 29 hours).
Physical RequirementsAbility to stand/walk 8 hours a day; lift 40 lbs; reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, grasp, grip and work in cooler (cold) temperatures.
