Perfect Game is looking for a strategic and creative Product Line Manager to lead our branded merchandise business. You'll own the product lifecycle—from concept and buying to launch and inventory management—creating apparel, headwear, accessories, and event merchandise that athletes, families, and baseball fans love.
Working cross-functionally with Creative, Marketing, E-Commerce, Operations, and external vendors, you'll build product assortments that drive revenue, strengthen the Perfect Game brand, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute seasonal merchandise strategies and product assortments.
- Lead product development from concept through production and launch.
- Analyze sales trends, customer insights, and inventory performance to make data‑driven buying decisions.
- Manage purchasing, inventory planning, forecasting, and vendor relationships.
- Negotiate pricing, production timelines, and purchase orders with domestic and international suppliers.
- Partner with Marketing and E‑Commerce on product launches, promotions, and merchandising.
- Create exclusive collections for Perfect Game events, tournaments, and special collaborations.
- Monitor product performance and continuously optimize assortment, pricing, and profitability.
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, product management, buying, category management, or product development.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in inventory planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating pricing.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Shopify or similar e‑commerce platforms.
- Excellent organization, communication, and project management skills.
- Passion for sports, apparel, retail, or consumer products.
- Experience in sporting goods, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
- Familiarity with overseas sourcing and manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP systems, Figma, or Asana.
- Knowledge of licensing or collaborative product development.
