JobObjective
The sales representative will meet or exceed Sales Goals and Additional Performance Goals, grow existing customers, create new customers, achieve appropriate gross margin goals, and work cooperatively with other members of the sales and management team to achieve company objectives.
Job duties- You are the face of the company and expected to develop new and build upon existing relationships by providing product, price and technical information and most importantly outstanding customer service.
- Determine customer requirements and expectations in order to recommend specific products and solutions.
- Proactively follow up with customers on existing quotes to convert to sales.
- Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes or warranty requests.
- Provide feedback to supervisor(s) and management of relevant information and trends in the marketplace.
- Manage time effectively and work effectively with other members of the sales team and other departments.
- Achieve all performance and financial goals as laid out by manager.
- Present price and credit terms to customers in accordance with standard procedures. Account managers are expected to be cognizant of account status, and assist in collection efforts as necessary
- Proactively recommend products or alternatives to customers to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability
- Monitor scheduled shipment dates and communicate variances to customers as needed
- Needs to be proficient in using computers with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, and be able to learn internal company software.
- Present a professional image at all times to customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Follow company policies and procedures, including the approved and desired record keeping systems
- All other duties as assigned.
