SummaryThe Manager Quotations is responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies as well as leading the Quotations team to achieve established sales goals. The role involves developing and growing relationships with customers and vendors to secure pricing positions for bids and ensuring the quality and accuracy of proposals.
What You’ll Do- Lead the Quotations team toward achieving sales, customer development, product mix and gross profit goals identified in the business planning process
- Develop and implement the sales strategy for assigned areas of focus, aligning with district, division, and regional goals
- Interface with customers’ purchasing, program management, planning, and technical functions to identify their needs and develop new-client relationships
- Hire, train and develop the Quotations team to achieve high levels of sales effectiveness and customer satisfaction, ensuring personnel have the required product or technical expertise
- Meet with key clients and assist sales representatives with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals
- Create and utilize market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, discount rates, recommend vendor partners, and forecast sales while evaluating competition for a competitive advantage
- Liaise between sales and other departments to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction
- Educate sales personnel and customers about new and existing product offerings
- Analyze and control Travel and Expense (T&E) expenditures to meet budgeted expectations
- Deliver sales presentations with sales representatives and coordinate customer training; represent the company at trade association meetings to promote company and products
- Track and measure the success of promotional programs and product launches against sales objectives; prepare sales reports to show volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion; analyze sales to formulate strategy with the Quotations team and vendors
- Perform other duties as assigned

- 6+ years of customer service, project management, or related experience
- Management experience preferred
- Experience with electrical distribution, lighting, and controls preferred
- High School or GED – required
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent negotiation skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to drive decisions with influence
- Product and application knowledge essential
- Customer-oriented and motivated with excellent communication, customer service, time management, and problem‑solving skills
- Intermediate/advanced computer skills, specifically with Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with customers
- Ability to collaborate at all levels
- Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, be self‑motivated, and enthusiastic about business
