The Vaccines Health and Science Professional (HSP) promotes the Vaccines Portfolio across customers and channels.

The position requires regular live field customer engagement as well as virtual engagements. The HSP is accountable for launching new products, selecting the best strategies to manage business relationships, securing formulary access, and engaging in product promotion within the assigned geography. The HSP also leads sales efforts and builds relationships with customers, accounts, Therapeutic Area Specialists, and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).

The candidate requires strong sales, strategic business development, account management, and customer engagement skills, along with digital and virtual tools proficiency.

Role Responsibilities
  • Drive sales in the assigned territory to maximize approved business objectives.
  • Engage with customers face‑to‑face and virtually.
  • Develop and implement effective business and territory call plans; identify and execute live/virtual engagement strategies to maximize impact.
  • Build rapport and relationships with customers in live and virtual settings, using judgment to maintain engagement with digital tools.
  • Understand and leverage internal reports and analytics to identify, develop, and implement strategic business opportunities.
  • Utilize approved clinically oriented disease‑state information and patient resources in a compliant manner.
  • Demonstrate market knowledge, uncover barriers and drivers across all business channels (Public Health, Private Market, Retail, etc.).
  • Collaborate effectively and compliantly with cross‑functional colleagues, including Field Medical and Account Management, to address customer inquiries and advance Pfizer objectives.
  • Complete all administrative expectations on time and compliantly, such as entering customer calls, submitting expenses, and responding to requests from sales leadership and internal partners.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
    Professional Sales or Promotional Activity, Small Business Owner or Entrepreneurial Experience, Marketing, Customer Service and/or Account Management.
  • Associate’s Degree with 6+ years of experience, or high‑school diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years of relevant experience in Healthcare/Scientific roles (e.g., RN, Pharmacist, PT, OT), Education (e.g., Teacher, Principal), or Full‑time Military experience.
  • Must live within 25 miles of the border of the territory.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and driving record in compliance with company standards.
  • Any DUI/DWI or other impaired‑driving citation within the past 7 years disqualifies applicants.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical sales, or medical‑related marketing.
  • Strong track record of sales or marketing success, territory management skills, outstanding communication, teamwork, leadership, and accountability.
  • Experience with the Vaccines therapeutic area and products.
  • Knowledge of the posted territory customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/organizations).
  • Resides within the territory boundaries.

Salary range: $76,000 – $199,600 base. The position starts as a salary non‑exempt employee eligible for overtime. After training certification, the employee becomes overtime exempt. An additional quarterly sales incentive bonus is available. The role offers comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) plan with Pfizer matching contributions, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, medical leave, and health benefits covering medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage.
