Field Sales & Services Intern

• Learn about Thermo Fisher Scientific’s business divisions, instruments, technologies, and scientific-community customers
• Shadow experienced Sales Representatives and Field Service Engineers through field exposure and ride-alongs
• Understand Sales and Field Service collaboration in delivering customer-focused solutions
• Visit a manufacturing site, tour production areas, and learn how Chemical Analysis Division products are designed, built, and delivered
• Participate in training on field service fundamentals and diagnostics
• Learn selling techniques and CRM tools such as
• Develop customer engagement and escalation-management skills
• Learn technical systems
• Build connections with fellow interns, cross-functional teams, and leadership
• Complete a strategically or operationally important 10-week internship project
• Explore Sales and Field Service career paths with potential transition into junior-level full-time roles after graduation

• Undergraduate student completing a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Chemistry, Biomedical or a related technical or scientific field between December 2027 – June 2028
• Previous related internships and/or work experience totaling 1+ years experience required
• Familiarity with technical drawings, engineering terminology, or scientific instrumentation
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other technical tools
• Proven leadership experience through student organizations, athletics, Greek life, community service, volunteer organizations, campus programs, military service, or other leadership roles
• Ability to influence others, lead initiatives, drive results, and create positive impact within teams and organizations
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, adapt to changing priorities, and solve complex problems
• Evidence of grit, resilience, and perseverance
• Strong learning agility, intellectual curiosity, and an innovative mindset
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence
• Geographic mobility and flexibility required
• Onsite and in-office work required throughout the program and in future placements
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment visa sponsorship
• Must not hold F-1, J-1, H-1, OPT, or CPT visas for the purpose of obtaining practical experience
• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location
