Position OverviewSandy Mac Evolution LLC is seeking an Activity Security Representative I to support Department of Defense Special Access Program activities at Hanscom Air Force Base, Massachusetts.
The Activity Security Representative will provide day‑to‑day security support for sensitive and classified programs, including Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information, and Special Access Program environments. The selected candidate will assist with the administration of personnel, physical, information, industrial, and operational security requirements in accordance with applicable government regulations, directives, and customer policies.
This position is suited for an early‑career security professional who possesses prior SAP experience and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide daily security support for Special Access Program, SCI, and collateral activities.
- Assist with implementing and enforcing program security policies, procedures, and operating instructions.
- Support personnel security processes, including clearance verification, access eligibility, indoctrinations, debriefings, and access roster maintenance.
- Verify personnel possess the appropriate clearance, access authorization, need‑to‑know, and program eligibility.
- Support visitor‑control activities, including visit certifications, access verification, visitor processing, and escort coordination.
- Assist with the preparation, maintenance, protection, and accountability of classified security records and documentation.
- Support classified meetings, briefings, conferences, and other program activities.
- Assist with physical security inspections, facility access controls, alarm procedures, and safeguarding requirements.
- Support the proper marking, handling, transmission, storage, reproduction, and destruction of classified information.
- Assist with security education, training, and awareness activities for assigned personnel.
- Identify and report potential security vulnerabilities, violations, infractions, or procedural deficiencies.
- Assist with preliminary inquiries involving security incidents and potential compromises of classified information.
- Support security inspections, self‑assessments, compliance reviews, and corrective‑action tracking.
- Maintain familiarity with applicable government security regulations, directives, and customer‑specific requirements.
- Coordinate with government security personnel, program leadership, contractors, and other authorized stakeholders.
- Perform additional security‑related duties in support of the customer’s mission.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance.
- Zero to two years of related security experience.
- Prior experience supporting a Special Access Program environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required SAP access.
- Knowledge of basic personnel, physical, information, industrial, or operational security principles.
- Ability to interpret and comply with government security regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and records‑management skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and classified information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a classified environment.
A bachelor’s degree may count as four years of experience.
An associate’s degree in a related field may count as two years of experience.
Education substitutions are subject to customer approval and do not replace the mandatory SAP experience or active TS/SCI clearance requirements.
Experience and Certification Equivalencies- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification may count as one year of experience.
- Special Program Security Certification may count as one year of experience.
- The maximum allowable experience equivalency for SPēD certifications is three years.
