Utility Person

Position: Utility Person - Full Time (1 Needed)

In accordance with the AFSCME Utility Schedule

Pay Rate:
Relative to experience and in accordance with the AFSCME Custodian Salary Schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED

* Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tools

* Knowledge of HVAC systems highly preferred

* Ability to read and understand technical manuals

* Current authorization to work in the U.S.

* Valid Driver's License (Favorable driving record, CORi/SORi and fingerprinting results)

Job Summary:

* Responsible for assisting in all duties related to the upkeep of school facilities

* Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Obtaining a MA 7D license (District paid)

* Ability to safely and confidently work with moving machinery

* Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols

* Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, stooping, lifting up to 50lbs, squatting, crawling at least 50% of the shift, and standing 75% of shift (Based on 8-10 hour shift)

* Ability to safety and confidently work around moving machinery so as to avoid accidents to yourself and others

* Ability to follow instructions and safety protocols.

* Must be able to perform duties requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and crawling at least 50% of shift. Requires 75% of shift (Based on 8-10 hour shift)
