Responsible for assisting in all duties related to the upkeep of school facilities, ensuring that the campus is safe, functional, and maintained to the highest standards.

• Assist with routine maintenance, repair, and construction projects throughout the school campus.
• Obtain a MA 7D license (District paid) in order to operate certain machinery and equipment.
• Safely and confidently work with moving machinery and comply with all safety protocols to avoid accidents.
• Follow all instructions and safety procedures provided by supervisors and regulatory authorities.
• Perform physical tasks that include bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs for at least 50% of the shift, and standing for at least 75% of the shift, based on an 8–10 hour workday.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tools.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems is highly preferred.
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals.
• Current authorization to work in the United States.
• Valid driver’s license with a favorable driving record; CORi/SORi and fingerprinting results may be required.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job as listed under Responsibilities.

Pay Rate: $28.62 to $36.22 Per Hour (relative to experience and in accordance with the AFSCME Custodian Salary Schedule)
