We are hiring a Commercial Refrigeration and Kitchen Equipment Technician to support restaurants, hospitality, and food service operations throughout the Boston area. This is a field-based role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems and kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial refrigeration systems and kitchen equipment
- Service equipment including refrigeration, cooking, and ware-washing systems
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and service manuals
- Communicate with manufacturers for technical support and parts identification
- Install replacement parts and complete repairs efficiently
- Complete service documentation including work orders and inventory tracking
- Maintain a clean and organized service vehicle and tool inventory
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Identify and recommend preventative maintenance or additional services
- 3+ years of experience in refrigeration, HVAC, appliance repair, or commercial kitchen equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to participate in on‑call rotation
- EPA certification
- CFESA certification
- Experience with commercial refrigeration systems or food service equipment
- Ability to work independently in a field environment
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs
- Frequent bending, kneeling, and climbing
- Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and confined environments
- Ability to work at heights and on ladders
- Competitive salary: $60,000 to $130,000 per year
