Summary
Therapeutic Mentors offer structured, one-to-one, strength-based support services to youth for the purpose of addressing daily living, social-emotional, and communication needs. S/he will report directly to the Senior Therapeutic Mentor or Program Director.

CompensationHS Diploma starts at $22.00 per hour / BA starts at $23.50 per hour
$1 per hour Language Differential! (eligible languages include: Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish or ASL)
Child & Family Services carefully considers a wide range of factors when determining compensation including, but not limited to, prior experience, education, certification(s), license(s), skills and expertise, location, internal equity and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need. Our goal is to support, reward and compensate the entire individual. Depending on role eligibility, your offer may include a bonus or other incentives.
Therefore, final offer amounts may vary from the amount stated.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to transport clients in your own personal vehicle
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Experience working with transitional age youth
- Ability to work independently
- Great organizational and communication skills
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed to include occasional weekend and/or evening work
- Supporting, coaching, and training the youth in age-appropriate behaviors, interpersonal communication, problem-solving and conflict resolution, and relating appropriately to other children and adolescents, as well as adults, in recreational and social activities pursuant to a behavioral health treatment plan developed by an outpatient provider
- Engaging the youth in activities in the community
- Address one or more goals each session on a youth’s existing outpatient or In-home Therapy treatment plan (for youth not in ICC), or on an existing ICP (for youth in ICC)
- Carry an average caseload of 3-5 if part-time, or 8-12 if full-time, of which she/he will be responsible for case management
- Develop an individualized service plan with the clinician
- Responsible for monthly/quarterly summaries, progress notes, and discharge paperwork. All paperwork must be completed and entered into the database in a timely manner
- Submit billing/units into database with a 3 day window of TM services provided
