Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity

Surgical Affiliates Management Group (SAMGI) is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join our program at Banner Churchill Community Hospital in Fallon, Nevada. This is a unique opportunity to practice full-scope orthopedic surgery in a rural community setting while enjoying a predictable schedule and the professional support of a well-established surgical group.

Join an established team with a balanced case mix of elective and acute orthopedic cases. Enjoy a predictable 15-shift/month schedule and build and lead a program that truly impacts community health.

Program highlights include a two-surgeon model with each surgeon working ~183 days/year, 24/7/365 ED ortho call coverage, and daily onsite weekday coverage (M–F) for clinic, hospital, and OR. Clinic duties include elective ortho, follow-ups, and outpatient consults with a target volume of 150 acute + 150 elective = 300 total cases in year one. No APPs required – direct surgeon-delivered care.

Banner Churchill Community Hospital is a 25-bed rural facility with a tight-knit, patient-centered environment, including a 4-bed Medical ICU and MRI on site. The ED sees ~17,734 visits annually and serves ~81,000 outpatient clinic visits. Located in the scenic Sierra Nevada foothills, about an hour from Reno.

Candidate requirements include Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery, experience in arthroscopy, joint replacement, and acute fracture care, proven ability to balance elective & inpatient referrals, high standards for patient satisfaction, strong communication skills, and demonstrated excellence in a collaborative team-based environment.
