Substitute Teacher

LICENSED SUBSTITUTE TEACHER - $18.57/hr

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Substitute - Temporary, as needed

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The list of essential duties and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

• Follow lesson plans, or develop lesson plans to implement into daily instruction
• Administer appropriate district curriculum which is aligned with Nevada State standards and conforms to district guidelines.
• Analyze student progress and provide appropriate instruction.
• Ensure assessment regulations and guidelines are followed at all times.
• Work professionally and collaboratively with administration, staff, parents, and community.
• Facilitate the personal, social, and intellectual development of students.
• Create and maintain a positive, orderly, and academically focused learning environment and respond to the individual needs of students.
• Plan and implement effective lessons; using time, materials and resources effectively.
• Motivate students through effective communication and evaluative feedback.
• Display a thorough knowledge of curriculum and subject matter.
• Provide classroom management and discipline that ensures safety at all times.
• Maintain accurate and complete records in order to remain compliant with applicable law(s), district policy and administrative regulation.

Required License Or Certificate

MUST POSSESS A NEVADA TEACHING LICENSE ISSUED BY THE NEVADA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION.
