Overview
Field Safety Coordinator
This position is field-based and will require frequent travel throughout the United States with regular time spent at the Company’s office located in Fallon, Nevada.
Work schedule:
Monday to Friday with regular after-hours support required.

The incumbent will report to the Operations Manager and will support all US field safety activities. This role requires both field safety support as well as administrative support.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist the operations team with the implementation and management of company and client HSE requirements and programs.
- Monitor legislation and other requirements related to Safety and Environment that affect the operations; ensure the Company is compliant.
- Provide HSE advice and support to employees and managers in the field.
- Assist in the recruitment, training, and onboarding process for the relevant positions of the rig personnel.
- Propose and organize the risk assessment to be performed at each relevant stage and ensure the resultant mitigation measures are implemented.
- Coordinate and monitor safety and environmental audits in their area.
- Coordinate the compiling of Safety and Environment data.
- Produce and administer the Safety and Environment training plan.
- Keep the Company representative (Drilling Supervisor) on the drilling rig informed about all relevant matters which may have consequences for the rig safe operations.
- Support implementation of a first class HSE culture.
- Take part in relevant investigations as directed.
- Ensure proper handling and follow-up of accident/incident reports including timely close-out of actions.
- Follow-up Inspection reports related to Drilling equipment, HSE systems and Equipment and Maintenance issues.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including:
- Coordinate travel / hotel accommodations (flights / travel stay accommodations)
- Conduct internal on-boarding training from PowerPoint built (4-6 hours pending class)
- Support internal training (LOTO, Working at heights, HAZCOM, Heat stress)
- Complete quarterly and annual MSHA training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Relevant post-secondary credentials or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience working in health, safety, and environmental positions is required.
- Experience working in either drilling, oil and gas, or mining is required.
- Extensive experience and capabilities with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Teams, and MS Excel is required.
