Job Responsibilities
- Performs testing and troubleshooting of weapons systems, complex avionics/electrical systems and subsystems, communication/navigations, electronic flight control, fuel, power generators, power distribution systems, lighting systems, flight instrument and fuel systems, temperature and pressure indicating, engine and control indications, ATFLIR, Electronic Counter Measure, and RADAR systems.
- Provides technical assistance, guidance and astute communication skills during aircrew de‑brief.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, technical directives, planning documents, test specifications, technical publications and procedures, and applicable safety manuals.
- Works in a hangar/shop/flight line environment and performs the physical movements and postures normally associated with these activities.
- May be required to lift objects whose weight normally will not exceed 70 pounds.
- Requires special vision abilities: close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus.
- Work conditions may vary from minimal physical discomfort to severe inclement weather, high noise hazards, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and electrical shock hazards.
- May be required to perform off‑site service on assigned detachments.
- Minimum three years’ experience.
- Experience in corrosion detection, treatment and prevention; personnel shall be qualified according to their field of expertise and the level of maintenance assigned.
- Ability to obtain/maintain any company/government required qualifications, certifications, licensing, or clearance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior military personnel must present a member 4 DD214 with an Honorable character of service discharge.
- Valid state driver's license.
- Ability to work all assigned shifts & schedules.
- Recent experience with F‑18A‑F, EA‑18G, E‑2C, or F‑16 aircraft preferred.
- High degree of expertise of aircraft systems, avionics theory and applications.
- In‑depth knowledge of applicable maintenance/technical manuals, publications, instructions and special tools and test equipment.
- Familiarity with operational capabilities and limitations of aircraft systems.
- Thorough working knowledge of the detection, prevention and treatment of corrosion.
- Working knowledge of aircraft sub‑systems, including maintenance parameters, system operations, limitations and technical orders.
- Capability to troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti‑icing, hydraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems to ensure aircraft remains in safe operating conditions.

- Hazardous Waste Communication Training
- FOD and TCP Awareness Trained
- Security Clearance Awareness Training
- COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2 Program Awareness
- NALCOMIS/OOMA Trained preferred
- ESD Trained
- Support Equipment Operator’s License (Tow Tractor, N2 Servicing Trailer and Mobile Start Unit at a minimum.)
- Collateral Duty Inspector (in 2 T/M/S aircraft)
- Egress System Checkout
- Plane Captain Qualified Preferred
- Aircraft Towing Certified Preferred
- Aircraft Brake Rider Certified
- Operational Risk Management (ORM) Training
- Fuel Surveillance Trained Preferred
HIRING HOURLY Rate of Pay: $54.47 (Hourly rate set by CBA)
