Position Overview
We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time PATIENT TRANSPORTER positions at Memorial Hospital – 1404 Cross Street, O Fallon, IL 62269. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule- Tuesday–Thursday: 10:30 am–4:30 pm
- Friday: 8:00 am–4:30 pm
- Monday, Friday, and alternate Saturday/Sunday: 12:00 pm–8:30 pm
- Sunday: 12:00 pm–8:30 pm
- Wednesday & Friday: 5:00 pm–11:30 pm
- Monday, Wednesday & Saturday: 8:00 am–4:30 pm
- Thursday: 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and patient‑related items to their destinations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Transport patients safely, securing IVs, drainage tubes, and ensuring patient stability.
- Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock in accordance with transportation protocols.
- Demonstrate competency in transporting all specific age groups.
- Ensure prompt and accurate transport to the designated destination.
- Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or recipients of dispatch.
- Maintain patient comfort and privacy, offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversation.
- Alert nursing staff immediately to signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
- Maintain equipment and report any repairs needed.
