Travel Physical Therapist

Job Summary

Fusion Medical Staffing—Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Fallon, Nevada. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.

• Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history.
• Develop personalised rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
• Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
• Operate specialised physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively.
• Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programmes and injury prevention strategies.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
• Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
• Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions.

• Valid Physical Therapy licence in compliance with Nevada state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Other certifications or licences may be required.
• Doctorate degree in physical therapy preferred; new graduates welcome.

• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
• Basic PC proficiency.

• Must remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend, and move about.
• Must work effectively with a variety of personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism.
• Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, or independently.
• Must possess visual acuity and communicate effectively.
