Job Summary
Fusion Medical Staffing—Therapy is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13‑week assignment in Fallon, Nevada. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
Essential Work Functions- Evaluate patients’ physical conditions using standardized tests, clinical examinations, and patient history.
- Develop personalised rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement physical therapy treatment plans using various techniques to improve patient mobility and reduce pain.
- Operate specialised physical therapy equipment and modalities safely and effectively.
- Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and accurately document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programmes and injury prevention strategies.
- Maintain a safe treatment environment adhering to infection control protocols and regulatory standards.
- Engage in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities.
- Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions.
- Valid Physical Therapy licence in compliance with Nevada state regulations.
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Other certifications or licences may be required.
- Doctorate degree in physical therapy preferred; new graduates welcome.
- Critical thinking and service excellence.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- Basic PC proficiency.
- Must remain in a stationary position, move equipment (50‑100 lbs), push, pull, bend, and move about.
- Must work effectively with a variety of personnel with a positive attitude and professionalism.
- Must cope with frequent contact with the general public and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, or independently.
- Must possess visual acuity and communicate effectively.
