• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-operative patients.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid the physician during examination and treatment of the patient.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and participate in discharge planning.
• Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by the physician.

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience (Med/Surg)
• Required:
  
  BLS, ACLS
• At least 2 years of nursing experience
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
