The Central Nevada Health District (CNHD) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Services Manager/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join our leadership team. Under the direction of the CNHD Administrator, this position is responsible for providing advanced professional nursing care and overseeing the coordination, delivery, and evaluation of all Clinical and Population Health programs within the District. This role carries direct responsibility for organizing, directing, and supervising clinical operations;
providing hands‑on services across all CNHD clinic sites; and guiding population health initiatives that support the mission and strategic goals of the District.
The Clinical Services Manager/APRN serves as an integral member of the CNHD management team and is accountable for achieving division goals, ensuring regulatory compliance, supporting staff development, and upholding best practices in public health service delivery. As an advanced‑level professional nursing position requiring specialized certification, this role may involve work during evenings, weekends, or holidays in response to public health emergencies.
As a full‑time, regular position, the person hired would be enrolled in the Nevada PERS retirement system. In addition to the salary paid, the county contributes an additional 36.75% into PERS on the employee's behalf (value of $34,000 annually). In addition, the employee will not contribute to Social Security, resulting in an additional 6% in take‑home pay (an equivalent of $5,500 annually).
The county also pays 100% for employee‑only health insurance premiums (equivalent to $13,500 annually). An employee in this position will also receive full accruals of vacation leave (8 hours per month) and sick leave (10 hours per month), in addition to 8 hours for pay for 11 paid holidays.
The Central Nevada Health District (CNHD) Clinical Services Manager serves under the direction of the CNHD Administrator and is responsible for providing advanced professional nursing care and other related work as required. and the CNHD Clinical Services Manager will have day‑to‑day responsibility for the coordination of all Clinical and Population Health programs under their jurisdiction. Responsible for organizing and direct leadership for the department, supervising staff and facilitating the daily activities which includes oversight and directly providing service to all clinic sites in the District and managing the population health initiatives.

This class manages a broad range of Public health clinical and educational activities, including hands on care, and programs for the CNHD. The incumbent is accountable for accomplishing division goals and objectives and for furthering CNHD goals and objectives within general policy guidelines. The CNHD Clinical Services Manager is an integral part of the CNHD management team and will have a vital role in achieving the CNHD strategic plan.
This is an advanced skill level, specialized professional nursing classification. It is distinguished from other professional nursing classifications by requiring special certification. Work may entail nights, weekends, and holidays during times of a public health emergency.
