Ledcor is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support our mining operations in Nevada and Idaho. If you know your way around iron and take pride in keeping equipment running strong, this is your chance to join a solid crew and build a long‑term career.
You’ll work on a fleet of haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators, helping keep critical equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job.
Essential Responsibilities- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy mining equipment including haul trucks, loaders, dozers, and excavators
- Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections to keep equipment running safely and efficiently
- Repair and replace components to OEM standards, with a focus on Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment
- Complete service records and communicate equipment status to operations teams
- Work safely with tools and equipment, following all site safety procedures
- Collaborate with mechanics and operations to prioritize repairs and minimize downtime
- 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in heavy equipment repair (mining or heavy civil preferred)
- Trade certification, technical training, or equivalent experience is an asset
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Experience reading schematics and using diagnostic tools
- Experience with Cat, Hitachi, and Komatsu equipment strongly preferred
- MSHA Part 48 (metal/non‑metal) required (support provided if needed)
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- Must pass pre‑employment drug and alcohol testing
- Rotating shifts, 10–12 hours per day
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
