Maintenance Worker Specialized-FLEX (260002G6)
Location: The Navy Inn, Navy Exchange Service Command, Fallon, NV.
Hiring Incentive: $1,200 (must meet eligibility requirements)
Job Purpose: The Navy Inn needs a personable, dedicated Maintenance Worker to support and serve the local Naval community and ensure daily operations run smoothly. This role involves basic plumbing repairs, general maintenance of buildings and equipment, and specialized work in HVAC, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and painting.
Responsibilities- Perform basic plumbing repairs and support related tasks.
- Maintain building, grounds, fixtures, and equipment in safe and functional condition.
- Execute HVAC, electrical, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks as required.
- Follow safety and environmental rules and regulations related to tools, equipment, and chemicals.
- Support and assist with day‑to‑day operational needs of the Navy Exchange Service Command.
- One year of general maintenance experience with knowledge of maintenance practices for buildings, grounds, and equipment.
- Three years of specialized maintenance experience in trades such as air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, or painting.
- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and basic safe work practices.
- A recognized professional certification or license in a trade (plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, or painting) is preferred.
- One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general maintenance experience up to a high school diploma or GED.
- Standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lifting and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds.
