Leach Pad Operator

Job Summary

Support the leaching operation in a safe manner.

• Ensure compliance with and adherence to all MSHA and company safety regulations, policies and procedures
• Inspect and maintain the leach pad daily including putting new ore under leach, maintaining proper flows and pressures for all areas currently under leach etc.
• Cross-train with the Process plant operators on both the inside and outside positions
• Operate small support equipment, such as skid-loaders, dozers, forklifts, etc.
• Clean filter presses and the E- cells as needed
• Lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 50 pounds throughout the work day with and without assistance
• Ensure compliance with all MSHA and company policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
• Self-motivated and ability to prioritize work and adaptable to changes in schedules, plans, etc.
• Work will be over rough terrain and involves climbing stairways, catwalks and pads

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Valid Driver’s License

• Ability to work rotating day and night shifts
• Ability to work overtime
• Ability to work outside in all weather extremes
• Willingness to assist elsewhere on the mine site when needed such as the crushing crew and mining crew, etc
• Personal protective equipment is required when performing this work (safety shoes, hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, respirator, etc as needed)
