One of our clients in Virginia is seeking a Proposal Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of Proposal Management and Proposal creation. Within this role, you will work closely with Business Development and Operations for the creation of compliant and compelling proposals

• Position: Proposal Manager
• Location: Hybrid (2 days/week onsite )

Position Responsibilities:

Proposal Planning and Strategy

• Develop a proposal development plan, including timelines, roles, and responsibilities. Coordinate with capture managers and business development teams to understand the opportunity and key win themes.

Content Management

• Oversee the collection, organization, and development of proposal content-technical sections, management approaches, past performance, pricing, and compliance documents.

Team Coordination

• Lead and facilitate cross-functional teams, including technical experts, pricing specialists, legal, and graphics, ensuring everyone contributes their part on schedule.

Compliance and Quality Assurance

• Ensure the proposal complies with all RFP requirements, formatting standards, and submission deadlines. Conduct reviews and quality checks to ensure clarity, consistency, and accuracy.

Writing and Editing

• Proposal managers often coordinate and review content, may also write or edit sections to ensure clarity, persuasive language, and alignment with the company's messaging.

Schedule and Deadline Management

• Keep the proposal development process on track, managing deadlines, review cycles, and approvals.

Review and Approval Process

• Facilitate internal reviews, including color reviews, management sign-offs, and final quality checks before submission.

Submission and Follow-up

• Ensure timely submission of the proposal and track feedback or debriefs afterward to improve future responses.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Business, Communications, Marketing, or related field
• Minimum five years of proposal management experience
• Experience managing proposal responses to the Department of State, Department of Defense, and National Institute of Health a plus
• Command of the English language with exceptional writing and editing /proofing skills, including expert level skill in Microsoft Word features for proofing and desktop publishing
• Attention to detail: in the comments section of your application, tell us your favorite color
• Experience in government and procurement databases (e.g., SAM.gov, FPDS, eBuy) and regulations (e.g., FAR/DFAR, SBA regulations, etc.)
