About the Position
The Move-In Specialist (MIS) is responsible for shepherding reservists through the new resident admission and move‑in process, starting with the initial pre-residency medical assessment through their move‑in and transition to residential life at Goodwin House. The MIS will collaborate with the Goodwin Living Sales Team to inform and maintain occupancy reporting and will work closely with colleagues across departments to communicate timing and critical details in preparation of welcoming new residents.
As the point person for welcoming new residents the MIS is responsible for coordinating with outside vendors (move managers and/or movers, family members, new furniture deliveries, etc.) to ensure a seamless move experience. The MIS also acts as the liaison between the new resident and the team responsible for preparing their future apartment for residency. In this capacity, the MIS is responsible for facilitating finish selections appointments with reservists and maintaining a professional design studio.
Pay rate: $30/hr to $32/hr plus the opportunity for commission.
Hours: 8:00 am or 9:00 am – 4:30 pm or 5:30 pm.
Job Duties Assemble and maintain supply of Medical Packets for distribution by Sales Counselors to prospective residents.Receive and process completed Medical Packets and schedule all pre‑admission medical assessments.Upon reservation, serve as primary point of contact for reservists to field questions and address concerns related to the admission and move‑in process.Meet with reservists immediately following reservation to review the admission and move‑in process and provide related Admission and Move‑In Packet. The MIS is responsible for creating and maintaining Admission and Move‑In Packet content for their respective community.Work with Goodwin Living Project Management team in support of apartment renovation process, to include facilitating reservist finish selection appointments and maintenance of selections studio.Collect and process all required new resident admissions paperwork and documentation to ensure resident record is complete on day of admission, including entering data in electronic health record in Matrixcare.Coordinate with reservist and moving company to schedule move‑in and make all related arrangements (e.g., reservation of freight elevator, secondary deliveries, etc.).Communicate timing and critical details to staff across departments in preparation of resident contract date and move‑in to ensure seamless transition for new resident.Coordinate resident transitions from residential living to assisted living. In collaboration with Social Work Department, Facilities Management Department and Assisted Living Administrator, the MIS is responsible for ensuring the readiness of the assisted living apartment and managing all related arrangements (e.g., coordination with family and moving company to schedule move‑in, reservation of freight elevator, secondary deliveries, providing keys, etc.).Coordinate the move‑out process from residential living and assisted living by providing family with move‑out checklists and communicating with Facilities Management and Environmental Services Department of pending closure.Qualifications
Strong time management and organizational skills, and the ability to balance priorities in a fast‑paced sales environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to form connections and elicit trust from older adults and their support networks; experience working with older adults preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.) or ability to self‑teach and quickly master.Experience with database management (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent).Minimum of three years’ experience in a professional setting.Customer service mindset with ability to interface and communicate with colleagues across departments and levels of leadership, residents, visitors, and public.Benefits
