Job Opportunity

This opportunity is with an established and rapidly growing general contractor specializing in secure, mission-critical and complex SCIFF interior construction projects throughout the DMV region. Following a recent acquisition, the company has grown from approximately 25 employees to 60 employees and increased revenue from $40M to $65M between 2024 and 2026. With demand increasing and project sizes growing from smaller interior renovations to $4M-$17M negotiated and design-build projects, they are continuing to invest heavily in its people and leadership team.

To support this growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced Estimator or Pre-construction Manager to join the estimating team, with the successful candidate having the opportunity to help build and lead the pre-construction team as the company continues to expand.

Lead pre-construction and estimating activities bidding for SCIFF projects typically valued at $100K - $500K fast-track interior projects and larger negotiated and design-build projects valued between $4M and $17M. Develop conceptual budgets, cost plans, scopes, and proposals. Work closely with project management and operations teams during project handover. Participate in client meetings and presentations. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Support negotiated and design-build pursuits.

Review drawings, specifications, and conceptual design packages. Assist in growing and developing the estimating function. Contribute as a member of the management team.

6+ years of estimating or pre-construction experience working within a GC environment. Strong background in interiors, SCIFF, healthcare or similar complex environments. Experience with conceptual estimating and budgeting. Comfortable developing budgets from early-stage concepts and incomplete designs. Strong communication and presentation skills. Leadership qualities with the ability to influence both clients and internal teams. Experience of bidding across all trades.

Competitive base salary: $130,000 - $160,000 (Commensurate with experience). Performance and company-based annual bonus program. Hybrid work schedule.
