Associate Pastor

The Falls Church Anglican (TFCA) is seeking a full-time Associate Pastor who will serve as a key member of the pastoral team, regularly assisting with the leading, serving, and other ministerial duties as well as providing pastoral care and pre-marital counseling. As the church continues to grow, it is crucial that it develops, maintains, and supports a growing Deaconate to serve the parishioners of TFCA.

Working closely across the Discipleship, Congregational Care, and Community Life departments, this role support the important initiatives of each of these ministry areas. This Pastor would get exposure to the multi-faceted ministries of a large church.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Pastoral Support

Available to serve at all worship events by assisting in liturgy, teaching and leading, and being available to parishioners after services. Available to help with other pastoral duties such as aiding in our process of marriage preparation for engaged couples and officiating weddings, leading funerals, and conducting baptisms.

Pastoral Care

At the direction of the Pastor for Congregational Care, provide pastoral care and visitation to parishioners (i.e. hospital visits and homebound parishioners).

Discipleship and Community Life

At the request of the Pastor for Discipleship and/or Associate Pastor for Community Life, participate in adult discipleship programs, including small groups, Sunday school and other courses that may be offered.

Other Duties as assigned by Senior Associate Rector and Rector

Requirements

• Ordained as priest in the ACNA
• 3-5 years of ministry experience, preferably in Anglican setting
• Demonstrated success leading in a ministry setting
• Demonstrated success in discipling/mentoring adults and developing leaders
• Eagerness to gain experience in wide variety of ministries at The Falls Church Anglican
• Basic office technology skills
• Satisfactory background check
