Senior Associate, Virtual Construction – Reality Capture

• Execute terrestrial laser scanning and Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) scan deployments at active construction sites
• Develop site documentation protocols covering existing conditions, construction progress, and quality assurance data
• Collaborate with project teams on scan planning strategies aligned with project phases and deliverables
• Process raw scan data into registration-accurate point clouds and polygonal meshes using ReCap Pro, FARO Scene, Leica Register 360, 3DR, and related platforms
• Implement data management protocols including folder hierarchies, file naming conventions, and metadata documentation
• Generate technical reports, visualizations, and BIM-integrated deliverables
• Coordinate with VDC teams to integrate reality capture data into clash detection and model verification workflows
• Conduct quality control reviews to ensure scan coverage completeness and geometric accuracy
• Participate in weekly knowledge-sharing sessions, continuous improvement initiatives, and post-project reviews

Requirements

• 3–6 years of demonstrated experience in construction, land surveying, geospatial technology, or reality capture operations; internship experience considered
• Extensive knowledge of laser scanning, LiDAR, and photogrammetry principles and applications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and fundamental data management practices
• Ability to navigate active construction environments safely and work independently with minimal supervision
• Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational and documentation capabilities
• Willingness to travel 50%–75% to local and national job sites depending on project assignments
• Experience with Digital Twin concepts and workflows preferred
• Familiarity with NVIDIA Omniverse or similar real-time 3D collaboration platforms is a plus
• Hands‑on experience with ReCap Pro, FARO Scene, Leica Cyclone, or comparable point cloud processing software preferred
• Understanding of coordinate reference systems, geodetic datums, and fundamental surveying principles preferred
• Experience using 3D Gaussian Splatting technology preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Geomatics, or related technical discipline preferred
