Position OverviewWe are seeking an IT‑oriented System Engineer 3 to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. The role focuses on design, implementation, operations, maintenance, and cybersecurity of large, complex, resilient hardware and virtualized infrastructure.
Responsibilities- Work closely with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, architect solutions, and execute on deliverables.
- Communicate solutions to the technical program team and end‑customer stakeholders.
- Conduct analysis, engineering, and implementation of system improvements, automation, optimization, and deployments.
- Develop designs and architectural changes to infrastructure environments, including drawings, engineering design plans, implementation plans, transition plans, test plans, and failover plans.
- Perform security updates to hardware and software to maintain a strong security posture across all systems.
- U.S. Citizen with adjudicated U.S. Secret Clearance.
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of progressive experience in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related Engineering/IT discipline.
- Experience eliciting requirements, researching, designing, testing, and implementing hardware and software solutions for virtual infrastructure technologies.
- Engineering experience with core platforms and services including VMware ESXi/vSphere, Microsoft Windows Server, Microsoft Windows 11, DNS/DFS/DHCP, WSUS/KMS, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager.
- Experience performing security scans, applying security configurations such as DISA STIG/SRGs to system hardware and software.
- Experience virtualizing enterprise applications such as Active Directory, MS SQL, RHEL, MS SharePoint.
- Experience with API management and scripting languages including Power Shell, Python, JSON, Bash.
- Meeting DoD 8570 IAT Level‑II requirements.
- Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong time‑management, organization, and communication skills.
- Strong MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio skills.
- Experience administering OCSP (e.g., Axway Validation Authority, Microsoft OCSP Responder).
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing Trellix security product suite (Endpoint Security, DLP, HIPS, etc.).
- Experience designing and deploying SQL Database Infrastructure (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Experience engineering and implementing platforms and services in a software‑defined network environment.
- Vendor certifications such as VMware, Cisco, Microsoft, Net App.
