Full-service Powersport Dealer with retail operations nationwide is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial activities within their operations. This critical role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership skills, a thorough understanding of GAAP, and proven experience in a similar capacity and industry.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting and Compliance:
  • Manage the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure strong internal controls.
    • Other Responsibilities:
  • Manage the budget preparation and forecasting activities.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Collaborate with other departments on cross-functional projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
