As the Accounting Manager, you will support month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities, partnering with the Assistant Controller, Controller, and cross-functional teams. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, experience owning pieces of the close, and the ability to work efficiently with onshore and offshore partners. Experience with any ERP is acceptable.

Hybrid: two days onsite

What You'll Do
  • Month-end and Year-end Close
  • Own key components of the month-end and year-end close (journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, financial analysis)
  • Coordinate close activities with the offshore team in India; requires availability at 8:00 AM ET as needed.
  • Support tax and audit schedules, debt compliance, and cash-related tasks
  • Identify and implement improvements to accelerate and strengthen the close
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Partner cross-functionally with the FP&A team and department heads to analyze budget-to-actual variances and identify opportunities for cost optimization
  • Prepare and review financial statements—including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare regular assessments and reporting for management review, highlighting variances, financial trends, and other key metrics
  • Systems Expertise
  • Leverage ERP systems to extract, analyze, and validate financial data. Experience with Sage Intacct, Kantata, or Salesforce is a plus but not required
  • Identify opportunities for accounting-related process automation and AI enhancement, including upgrades and implementation of new technologies where appropriate
  • Team:
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages professional growth and excellence
  • Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards
  • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in a corporate environment; prior experience in professional services (public accounting, management consulting, or advisory firm) is a plus
  • ERP proficiency (any major ERP acceptable — not tied to Sage Intacct specifically)
  • Advanced Excel; intermediate Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies, and anomalies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams and addressing client inquiries
  • Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to proactively identify process inefficiencies and implement effective solutions
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Comfort with AI:
Demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation
  • Continuous Learning Mindset:
Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards
