Salary Range: $27.83 To $32.74 Hourly
Position Overview
We are actively recruiting for an Electronic Payments Specialist who can administer and support all Credit Union payment systems and programs to ensure alignment with organizational procedures, audits, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements. The Electronic Payments Specialist will focus on all aspects of payment operations, including ACH, wires, card programs, disputes, fraud, settlement, reconciliation, and system support. This role will also be responsible for facilitating payment processing, resolving disputes and fraud claims, monitoring reports, ensuring accurate settlement to the general ledger, and providing exceptional service to members and staff.
What You’ll Bring
- Two-Year college degree in accounting, business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two to five years of similar or related experience in payment operations, accounting, or financial services.
- Must possess a working knowledge of payment systems, settlement processes, and basic accounting principles.
- Proficiency in the use of modern office equipment.
- Ability to collect data, establish facts, analyze complex situations, and resolve operational and transaction‑related issues effectively.
- Proficient in mathematical and accounting concepts required for balancing, settlement, and reconciliation.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply written instructions, procedures, and regulations.
- Ability to write and respond to routine and professional correspondence.
- Strong ability to organize information and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with members, staff, and external partners.
- Ability to effectively interact with members and staff with professionalism, discretion, and diplomacy.
- Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills required.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all job duties listed in the Job Description in compliance with all Credit Union policies and procedures.
