The Hilton Garden Inn Falls Church is nestled in the heart of Falls Church, the “Little City,” a unique and historic city. Besides featuring quick access to renowned museums and art galleries in nearby Washington, D.C., almost every neighborhood is a treasure of its own, with a variety of restaurants and shops that reflect the city's great ethnic and cultural diversity.

What will I be doing?

As the General Manager, you would manage daily hotel operations and provide overall leadership in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Lead, direct and manage all hotel operations including, but not limited to hotel budgeting and forecasting, strategic planning, leading service initiatives, leading and managing balanced scorecard performance, implementing and complying with all company policies and standards, overseeing sales and marketing initiatives, leading and developing the executive team, responding to guests inquiries and resolving concerns and hotel-wide meeting participation and facilitation
  • Ensure guest and team member satisfaction
  • Monitor and develop team member performance, particularly the department heads, to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
  • Recruit, interview and train team members
  • Oversee service quality, operational efficiency, guest satisfaction, standards compliance and service and financial measurements
  • Identify operational performance, productivity and efficiency gaps and implement measures to correct those deficiencies
What are we looking for?

Basic Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience at a focused service branded hotel
  • Experience managing a property with $5M or greater in revenue and 100 + rooms
  • Thorough understanding of revenue management and commercial strategies
  • Proficient in fostering positive and productive relationships and demonstrates strong communication skills, with a proven ability to adapt and respond quickly
  • Performance driven, with strong leadership capability and proven ability to attract, motivate, lead, inspire, and direct a talented team towards driving excellent guest and employee satisfaction results
  • Proven understanding of food and beverage operations
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the local market
  • Hilton brand experience
