Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Service Now Architect to join
our team and lead the development, deployment, and management of
innovative Service Now solutions. This role will focus on backend
development, portals, work spaces, building data tables, enabling data
ingestion, and self-hosted environments in security-sensitive
environments, including IL5 and IL6 compliance.
The ideal candidate is a Service Now subject matter expert with hands-on
experience creating scalable, secure, and highly available solutions
tailored to customer needs in government or other regulated
environments. This role also requires proficiency in file/data
decomposition, workflow updates, and supporting data input and ingestion
practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a technical expert for all aspects of Service Now
architecture, design, and implementation.
- Lead custom backend development for Service Now modules, ensuring
quality and performance standards are met.
- Design and develop Service Now portals and work spaces to enhance user
experience and streamline workflows.
- Build and maintain self-hosted Service Now environments, ensuring
systems remain highly available and secure.
- Design and develop custom widgets in Service Now portal
- Develop and implement methods for decomposing files/data into
actionable components within Service Now.
- Design and configure Service Now data tables to optimize data use and
scalability.
- Update and enhance Service Now workflows to support advanced data
input and ingestion needs, ensuring accurate processing and
integration.
- Architect and help design Service Now applications using JavaScript,
Glide API, business rules, client scripts, and Flow Designer to meet
specific business needs
- Drive alignment with mission-critical IL5/IL6 compliance
requirements, implementing security controls and configurations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business needs, translate
them into technical requirements, and implement best-practice
solutions.
- Demonstrable experience presenting solutions to government
executives
- Develop detailed architecture diagrams to convey solutions to the
government
- Deliver and maintain technical documentation and architectural
guidance for projects and solutions.
- Provide technical mentorship to other team members, including
developers and administrators.
- Troubleshoot complex issues, provide advanced-level support, and
optimize Service Now performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience with Service Now development and
architecture.
- Advanced expertise in Service Now backend development, specializing
in workflows, integrations, APIs, and file/data decomposition.
- Proven experience designing and implementing Service Now portals and
work spaces with a focus on user experience.
- Strong proficiency in configuring and managing Service Now data
tables for supporting large-scale solutions.
- Experience with designing and updating Service Now workflows to
support data input and ingestion from various sources.
- Strong hands-on experience with self-hosted Service Now environments
and infrastructure.
- Deep understanding of DoD IL5 and IL6 compliance and experience
working within these security boundaries.
- Excellent skills in scripting and application development using
JavaScript, SOAP/REST APIs, and related technologies.
- Service Now Certifications (e.g., Certified Application Developer,
Certified Implementation Specialist, or Certified Technical
Architect).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure Government solutions.
- Deploying solutions in IL5 and IL6 environments is preferred
- Mastery in cloud infrastructure support (AWS, Azure, or other cloud
hosting platforms).
- Familiarity with other enterprise ITSM solutions or tools.
- Experience working in federal, DoD, or other highly regulated
environments.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to effectively
present complex solutions to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Active Secret is a must
