Assignment Overview
GDIT is seeking an Army & Defense Agencies Sector CTO with deep Department of Defense experience, responsible for bridging customer mission needs with technology solutions, driving business strategy and technical solutions to win complex proposals.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Solutions Architects engaged in capture and proposal efforts.
- Work with GDIT Army and Defense Agencies business to meet DoD customers.
- Serve as vital link between Division CTO organization, P&L Operations, and Growth functions, leading technology initiatives and introductions.
- Coordinate integration of technology solutions on current programs.
- Develop and execute go‑to‑market plans for technical solution ingestion in Army and Defense Agencies markets.
- Lead sector coordination between GDIT technical Centers of Excellence, Pursuit Teams, Capability Teams, and Enterprise Solution Architecture.
- Assist in technical resources management, ensuring appropriate resource allocation.
- Track status and quality of technical support, address risks proactively.
- Lead and coordinate sector technology Pre‑Sales activity, ensuring solutions meet customer needs.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree (or 4 additional years of related experience). - 10+ years of leading and managing complex IT initiatives.
- 10+ years of Department of Defense experience.
- Experience in R&D and rapid prototyping, building proof‑of‑concepts.
- Experience integrating emerging commercial technologies to meet Government security requirements (e.g., NIAP, NIST, CSfC).
- Dev Sec Ops experience with cloud and hybrid‑cloud solutions, automation, containerization, and Kubernetes.
- Experience drafting technical design and architecture artifacts for DoD.
- Supervisory and mentoring experience.
- Active Secret Clearance.
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- Experience with multiple cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, Oracle) and hybrid applications.
- Full‑stack development experience, including firmware, mobile/desktop applications, backend services.
- Recent DoD/IC client engagement and delivery.
- Deep understanding of DoD technical approaches in Cloud, AI, and Cybersecurity.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, unstructured environment.
- Hybrid work model: at least 3 days per week in Falls Church, VA.

Likely salary range $242,250 – $327,750, subject to experience and location.
