Defense Health Agency Seeks Subject Matter Expert (SME) Journeyman

The Defense Health Agency is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) Journeyman to provide strategic guidance on Information Management (IM) and Information Technology (IT) workforce planning and human capital management. This role will require a deep understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) and the specific operations of the Defense Health Agency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert guidance on strategic IM/IT workforce planning initiatives and effective human capital management for the Defense Health Agency.
  • Lead the development and improvement of business processes to promote efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of workforce planning and human capital strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Apply expertise to manage multiple complex work assignments, offering solutions and insights that contribute to organizational success.
  • Analyze current workforce strategies and recommend enhancements based on industry best practices and emerging trends in IM/IT.
  • Maintain awareness of changes in the DoD and Defense Health Agency policies and regulations that may impact strategic planning efforts.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage efficiently and effectively while adapting to multiple and shifting priorities.
Requirements:
  • Familiarity with the DoD and the Defense Health Agency is highly desired.
  • 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning, particularly within the IM/IT workforce context.
  • Proven proficiency in business process development and improvement methodologies.
  • Possesses and demonstrates expertise on multiple, complex assignments with the ability to provide insightful and actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
