Overview
GDIT is seeking a BOE Solution Architect SME to join the Strategic Estimation team within OCTO, Office of the Chief Technology Officer. The role focuses on linking engineering decisions to mission outcomes through BOE leadership, estimation, and solutioning support across GDIT divisions.
Responsibilities- Partner with programs, solution architects and other business stakeholders to understand BOE / Estimation / Solution needs and provide expertise, recommendations and artifacts to support high-priority efforts.
- Provide BOE Leadership and support, including end-to-end BOE development throughout the lifecycle ( Staffing Rationale, Models, and more ).
- Shape technology mission delivery by providing high-quality BOE and solutioning artifacts.
- Provide estimation and solutioning support on large and complex proposals, including metrics, technical solutioning recommendations, staffing estimates, data models, parametric models and analogous metric program data using data analysis, automation and AI tools.
- Use internal metrics and industry benchmarks (SEER-IT or similar) to provide metric data and support staffing estimates for large complex IT programs and modernization efforts.
- Offer technology solutioning expertise to Solution Architects to inform strong solutioning and estimation decisions aligned to customer missions.
- Collaborate across divisions to inform solutions for Defense, Intel, Federal Civilian and Federal Health customers.
- Oversee, build and deploy predictive models using machine learning techniques; evaluate model performance, iterate improvements, and ensure reliability; integrate models into production systems and gather metric feedback.
- Develop data visualizations and PowerPoint slides to communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Lead and support AI, data-driven and automation processes and improvements; drive adoption of AI tools across the business; support metrics gathering and analysis.
- Use M365, Teams, Kanban, Scrums and Agile methodologies, along with AI tools, to drive progress and find efficiencies; research industry trends in data metrics analysis and tooling and implement approved recommendations.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field (IT, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) or Business degree. In lieu of degree, equivalent combination of work experience, certification, and training may be considered. - Experience:
15+ years of related work experience; 5+ years in Program Management or Technical delivery on federal programs (large complex Enterprise IT Solutions including AI, data, data centers, cloud, networks, quantum); 3+ years as a Solution Architect related to Enterprise IT. - Technology
Experience:
Staffing estimation for large complex Enterprise IT programs, including BOE, Staffing Rationale and related documents; deep experience with Excel and data analysis; building/using parametric models; migrating data for analysis and reporting. - Tools:
Proficient with SharePoint, Salesforce and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT); strong MS Office skills (M365, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). - Leadership and Communication:
Strong collaboration, learning and adapting, strategy skills; excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking and problem-solving; ability to work across levels and foster a positive team culture. - Clearance and Citizenship: US Citizenship required; active Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret (TS) after hire or higher clearance in the future.
- Certifications:
ITIL or other process-related certification; PM/Program Management certification preferred; technical certifications highly preferred. - Location:
Hybrid work arrangement in Falls Church or Herndon, VA.
