Security Specialist; Insider Threat

Duties

Conduct insider threat risk analyses to identify potential vulnerabilities. Review insider threat reports to determine indicators of risk. Assess physical and general security threats to evaluate overall exposure.

Advise the InT Senior Analyst on Defense Health Agency security programs (Physical, Antiterrorism, Personnel, Information, and Industrial) to strengthen organizational security posture.

Analyze insider threat risk mitigation options to inform DHA senior leadership on potential enterprise-level implementation.

Conduct and manage insider threat risk assessments and referrals for the DHA lnT Hub.

Analyze information to advise on methods that deter and detect insider threats by assessing associated risks supporting investigative and command responses for protecting DHA information, personnel, and resources.

Provide timely reporting and referral of insider threat information to enable effective response and mitigation by investigative and command authorities.

Develop risk assessment methodology and risk priorities for utilization by the Analysis Cell to guide the production of insider threat referrals and reports.

Collaborate with mitigation/response authorities for resolution of insider threat referrals and other matters.

Produce periodic reports concerning status and compliance submitted to the DHA lnT Program for further submission to higher authorities.
