Job Description

As a Solution Architect at Serry Systems, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering AWS-based solutions for our clients. As the Subject Matter Expert, you will work closely with our clients to understand their unique mission requirements, assess their technical needs, and design cloud-based architectures that meet and exceed expectations. The role requires a deep understanding of AWS services and best practices to ensure that our clients' cloud environments are secure, scalable, and highly available.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation:
Collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and technical requirements. Translate these needs into well-architected AWS solutions.

Architecture Design:
Develop end-to-end cloud architectures that align with industry best practices and ensure scalability, security, and performance.

Solution Implementation:
Oversee the implementation and deployment of AWS solutions, working closely with development and operations teams to ensure successful execution.

Technical Leadership:
Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams, offering guidance and expertise on AWS services and best practices.

Performance Optimization:
Continuously assess and optimize AWS environments to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and security.

Documentation:
Create comprehensive documentation for AWS architectures, designs, and configurations.

Security and Compliance:
Ensure AWS solutions meet security and compliance requirements, and stay up to date with AWS security best practices.

Training and Support:
Offer training and support to internal teams and clients, helping them understand and use AWS solutions effectively.

Qualifications

Must be US Citizen with an active DoD Clearance.
Security+ Certification
AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification or equivalent AWS certifications.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing and implementing AWS solutions in a DoD or other federal agencies.
Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and more.
Excellent understanding of cloud security, compliance, and best practices.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Cloud Formation or Terraform.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and internal teams.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Dev Ops practices and tools.
Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience working inside the DoD
