At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Oracle Database Developer (PL/SQL) you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. The Enterprise Performance Management - Business Intelligence (EPM/BI) group at GDIT is looking for a candidate to join its growing Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing team. This is an Oracle Database and PL/SQL development and design position. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining Oracle Data Warehouses and Business Intelligence application platforms as well as provide leadership for IT best practices/methods and approach.

- Design and code PL/SQL procedures
- Actively Participate in the development and learning of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence applications
- Actively participate with the business users in understanding requirements and execution of projects
- Clearly communicate commitments, issues, completion dates and status with key stakeholders and management
- Play a key role in data modeling and database design
- Maintain availability during core business hours while supporting flexible operational requirements that may include extended daily hours, rotational coverage, weekend monitoring, and occasional deployment support based on mission needs
- Design and build applications following industry standards and best practices

- Education:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems or related degrees and 4+ years experience or in lieu of a degree 8+ years experience - Required Experience:
4+ years of hands‑on experience using Oracle PL/SQL - Required Technical
Skills:
Oracle PL/SQL;
Strong knowledge of RDBMS design;
Familiar with Data Warehouse and BI concepts - Required
Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills;
Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
Ability to work closely with team members and customers - Preferred
Skills:
Working experience with ETL tools; OAS platform reporting; LINUX/UNIX shell scripting, data visualization, JIRA, JAVA;
JavaScript;
Project Management - Location:
HYBRID with office located in Falls, Church, VA with the expectation the selected individual will work three (3) days per week in office/customer sites as needed - U.S. person
