Registered Nurse; RN Manager Cardiac Diagnostics

Inova Fairfax Cardiac Diagnostics Unit is seeking a full‑time Nurse Manager (Monday‑Friday schedule). The role leads a staff of approximately 48 nurses and technicians, overseeing high‑risk, high‑acuity cardiac procedures such as transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), cardioversions, tilt‑table tests (TTTs), cardiac stress tests, and TIVA/general anesthesia. The Nurse Manager works closely with anesthesiologists, cardiologists, and echocardiographers.

• Supports Inova's mission and strategic plans by managing a Non‑Invasive Cardiology Department with 24‑hour responsibility.
• Provides input to budget development and attainment of fiscal goals.
• Ensures unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and Joint Commission standards.
• Demonstrates leadership traits and supporting behavioral competencies.
• Manages clinical and non‑clinical staff, including day‑to‑day supervision, employee relations, and staff development.
• Responsible for oversight of unit schedule and filling staffing needs, including clinical coverage of units as needed.
• Serves as primary liaison and information resource for the unit.

• At least two years of clinical experience related to the unit's scope (pre‑op and recovery).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS required for Emergency Department, Critical Care, and procedural areas.
• Licensed or eligible for licensing in Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Prefer candidates with at least one year of prior managerial or supervisory experience and exposure to Cardiology.
